This confirmed the Hanover Sports Association of 1896 on Thursday on DPA request.
The club had examined an exclusion and this is justified by Schröder’s proximity to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The parent association had already examined in early March, to what extent Schröder could have violated the interests of the association because of his putin proximity despite the Russian commander in Ukraine.

The Altkanzler has been sent a letter at that time, in which he was asked for an opinion.
Schröder stands because of its close connection to the Russian President Putin in the criticism, even because he does not want to give up his post as a supervisory board at the State Russian Energy Group Rosneft.
Among other things Borussia Dortmund and the DFB, Schröder had withdrawn the honorary membership.
