Change of lead to Hanover almost perfect
The change of Fürther coach Stefan Leitl to the second division soccer team Hannover 96 is imminent.
“It depends on a few appointments. But basically it can go very quickly,” Hannover’s majority shareholder Martin Kind confirmed the newspaper “Neue Presse”.
According to the 78-year-old, Leitl gave his promise and the change modalities with his current club SpVgg Greuther Fürth have also been clarified.
The 44-year-old can leave the relegated Bundesliga early this summer due to an exit clause in his contract valid until 2023.
“Leitl considers 96 to be a good Bundesliga address, he has clear ideas,” said Kind.
With this new trainer, the Lower Saxony wants to aim for reinforcements such as Phil Neumann (Holstein Kiel) or Fabian Kunze (Arminia Bielefeld) and a total budget of around 40 million euros.
